Aktuell...Social StatusFinally, I got my 13¨ Macbook Pro last Monday. I was on my way back home when I got a call from EDBergen, an Apple premium reseller in Bergen aside from Eplehuset or the Apple house. They told me that the Macbook that I ordered was already there and ready for pick-up. I was so excited when I heard the news that I had to rush back to the city. Went inside the store, swiped my card and went back home smiling with a package in tow.
Made of aluminium
Opening the package felt like unwrapping a gift during Christmas day. It was just fabulous. The specs of my Macbook Pro are 2.53ghz, 4gb RAM and 250gb harddisk. That´s more than enough in what I need with my job and schoolwork. Plus, I just recently noticed that the Macbooks in Norway are way expensive than in the US for example. I paid 12,340 Norwegian kroner or 2,083.99 USD (that already includes the 5% student discount) for that model. When I checked online on the Apple store in the US, the same model costs only 1499 USD. Talking about +600 USD! It´s all because of the 25% plus in taxes here. Nevertheless, I felt that the machine was worth every penny spent. I just love it and I´ll never go back to Windows!
The screen is very nice and the keyboard lights up!
On another note, I am still swamped with schoolwork and at the same time taking a crash course in InDesign CS4 for my work as one of the new layoutartists in Bergen´s weekly student newspaper. That´s also one reason why I bought the Macbook since they only use Mac there.
