First, I’d like to thank all those who sent me warm birthday wishes. I’ll always treasure it in my heart. Second, this entry will be just a short one since I’m suffering from a mental block. I really hate it, but I hope that I can titillate my creative senses soon.

Another year and another birthday! Oh how time flies fast and now I’m *cough* 20 *cough* years old *wink*. Well, my birthday is on the 21st which is Sunday, but I am doing an early post about it. I have tons of things to catch up in the blogosphere especially that I was forced into hiatus due to lack of internet in our new place. I am glad that we finally have an internet connection at home after waiting for like a total of 2 weeks.

+Got an iPhone 3GS as a birthday gift from my father and Odd.

Plus, I am glad that we managed to settle in immediately in our new place and will be having our first party this Saturday. It’s a housewarming and birthday party all in one. I already sent out 34 invitations. Yikes! I’m really looking forward to it and I hope things will go smoothly.

The living room/bedroom was originally inspired from Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment in Sex And The City. That basically explains why I placed the bed in the living room. Aside from that, It’s a mix and match with a shabby chic feel.

The kitchen/dining room is not huge, but we’re just two people so it didn’t pose a problem.

The guest room looks bare since I haven’t got the time yet to do some major interior decorating.

I love the bathroom. It’s very spacious and the shower can accommodate two people at once! If you noticed there’s a calendar in the bathroom since like the Dutch, I think it’s the best place to set it up. Why? Because we normally spend a lot of time there and it’s the best way to remember birthdays and special holidays. Btw, I got this lovely calendar from Naomi of Here In The Hills (Thank you very much!).

I love the new place. It has a shabby chic personality and with a wonderful view of Bergen city. Plus, it’s in the heart of the city where I have easy access (a minimum of 5 min. walking distance) to shopping centers, movie houses, school and etc.

New Year And Probably New Me

Year 2010. Another year to savour the beauty of life. 2009 was the year that I started living again after I got back home in Norway around May. Apres, I got married to the most wonderful man, Odd Roald on July 3. It was the happiest moment of my life.

Now, happily married and all I just wanted to make 2010 a productive year. Like:

1. Finish my book while juggling school and design work within this year. I know I mentioned that I’m going to be done with it last December, but I can’t just pull off a Stephenie Meyer. Writing a 500++ paged book in 3 months time is a feat that I can’t emulate when I have other tons of stuff to do on my plate.

2. Create a new daily routine that raises productivity 200%. It’s like inventing a meal between breakfast and brunch.

3. Master the art of multitasking so I can handle the new daily routine.

4. Speaking of art, I am starting to make some cute stick figures with Illustrator CS4 and turned them into wallpapers. Like this:

This is always the lovely time of the year well, except birthdays of course! But the thing is this year it’s a bit special for us who live here in Bergen since we’re having a white Christmas! You see, it rarely snows in Bergen despite the coldness during Christmas time. We usually get snow after New Year or something like that.

It’s Finally Over!

I am so relieved that we’re finally done with our almost-a-month project exam. Everything went smoothly from the presentation and all. We were working with a trash metal band called Neongod and created a new profile for them. It ranged from a new logo, cd-cover for their EP, posters and etc. The band gave us a theme to work on which was the World War II. With it I took the liberty to create the cd-cover while the rest of the group worked with their respective assignments.

From this picture of an old helmet we borrowed from the war museum here in Bergen…

…I managed to make something like this:

+ The whole look of the cd cover that goes around seamlessly from the front to the back.

+ This is how the interior looks like. It’s like you’re on the other side of the fence. The cd itself was designed to camouflage with the background.

I am very satisfied with the final result. What do you think guys?
