I used to be active and thin but there was this episode in my life that I was eating more and doing things less. I was always at home sitting in front of my computer or the playstation for like 6 to 10 hours straight especially during weekends or holidays. At school was no different either and the only time we get to be active was when we have a film shooting. I didn’t notice that my weight was piling up until I saw myself in the mirror.
I didn’t care at first because Odd always told me that I look sexy all the time and I bought it. Though I wished he could have been more blunt but he said that he loves me and it doesn’t matter that I was fat or thin. I felt contented because of what he said but it was shortlived. Being overweight brought me a string of problems like hard-to-find-clothes-that-will-fit, heartburns, easily tired, high cholesterol level and etc. I was no longer healthy in other words.
I told myself that I should do something about this and luckily, I found a chance to reinvent myself when I travelled back to the tropics. This is what I did:
1. Enrolled myself to a gym and worked out 2-3 hours daily except Sundays.
2. Regarding with my diet, I have an oatmeal with fruits during breakfast, a full meal of veggies and meat on lunch and a banana or apple during dinner. On weekends I do indulge myself with some comfort food like chocolate, ice cream or a burger since they say it is also bad to deprive yourself with simple joys.
3. I sleep as early as I can (11pm is already late for me) and up around 6am. A good night sleep won’t make you look haggard.
4. Plus, I drink almost 12 glasses of water everyday. I heard it is also good for the skin.
5. Multivitamins! Need I say more?
Honestly, I find it funny that I managed to fix my life with a daily routine and loving it. Anyway, this is what I look now:
I lost a total of 20 kilos in a span of 5-6 months. I am happy that my hard work paid off but I am still striving to improve myself more and work on a path of healthy living. Soon I will have the body like these guys have:
They are my thinspirations! Travis is a model turned actor while Ellis is a model under Major Model Management.
Speaking of something healthy, I made some steamed napa rolls for dinner and I got the recipe from watching Rachael Ray. I used a lean grounded pork instead so there were no fats in it plus it’s steamed so it’s basically not oily. You can get a copy of the recipe here.
P.S.
