I would like to thank everyone for their lovely greetings and best wishes! I am still in my blissful newlywed mood so my mind can’t process some stuff yet meaning I can’t write decently for my blog let alone concoct a new recipe. But no fret, I am just gonna do a recap of my whole summer vacation at Odd’s parents in Fredrikstad (9 hours by train or around 50 minutes by plane from Bergen) which was actually a week before my wedding. And yes, another visual diary!

Striking a pose on my first day in Fredrikstad.

My brother-in-law, Egil with his girlfriend, Marianne. Don’t they look adorable together?

Starting a grill for our dinner in the front lawn of Odd’s parent’s house (what a mouthful!).

On the porch with the rest of the food and the area where we’re going to eat.

Egil and Odd grilling some barbecue with their father sitting in the background.

The front view of their house. Lovely isn’t it?

The view from the porch is very nice especially during sunsets.

Took a tour in Oslo (an hour train ride from Fredrikstad) with Odd to meet our dear friend, Renny. Here we’re eating lunch at Lekteren in Aker Brygge. It was nice meeting him again and I am very grateful for the lovely wedding gift. Thanks Renny and Diane!

Odd and I attended a lovely wedding two days after our Oslo trip. The groom is Odd’s friend since highschool.

Another pose!

We ended our summer vacay taking my father-in-law’s new boat for a spin.
That’s all!

I’m glad your still in your blissful newlywed mood – hold on to that feeling both of you!
How nice of you to share a bit from Odd’s place and family – looks very nice!
Would have loved to dance with you and the rest of the nice dressed guys!
Glad you liked our lunch – well deserved
It was a very lovely lunch Renny and thank you again!
Wow… ang ganda naman ng bahay nina Odd. Luv the sunset …. and the barbeque!
Wow, gorgeous place!
Such a nice get-a-way, a house by the lake (or a sea) and it looks very peaceful over there. The traveling is like going to the province from Manila. Was it your first time to go there?
Hei K! I’ve been there a couple of times before but we never had the chance to do a barbecue dinner. The weather was just nice to have a grill session!
Thank you again, dear.
Lovely fotos! Give my love to Odd. (I am still in finnmark)
I will!
It looks like a perfectly sublime time, my dear….A Beautiful home. and lovely people…..
That restaurant you are in with Renny…It looks SOOOO Comfy…Couches for seats…GREAT!
I love seeing your pictures Charles and look forward to more….!
The restaurant is indeed nice. The food and ambiance is great! I really like the location as well.
Hey, I like that house, typically Scandinavian.
Must have been cool spending a week there before getting married.
I can understand you being a bit off colour, getting married is a big step.
lovely pics chase, as always! wish i could visit your place soon. seems like a very romantic place to live in.
oh btw, your bro in law looks a lot like the fray’s vocalist, don’t you think so? ;D
It’s the house of my in-laws and we’re planning to buy something like that as well in the near future.
I don’t know about the band Fray but I will check it out!
The countryside looks amazing. I want to visit Norway/Northern Europe so much!
Oh it’s not the countryside dear it’s actually part of the suburb or city. Cities in Norway are very green so people usually don’t have an impression of urbanism. Despite the modern buildings, the forests or other natural ecosystems are usually preserved.
The BBQ looks divine!Ü
Hope you don’t mind me snoopin’ around here. Blog-Hoppin.
Aww dude it looks like you’re having such a fun summer! So happy for you!
Odd and his brothers look A LOT alike. They could almost pass for twins! Haha
Oh they do look a lot like and people usually ask them if they’re twins or triplets!
I absolutely love having summer BBQ suppers, and eating outside. Somehow the fresh air enhances the taste and the aroma, and food tastes so much better. Here in Canada, many people BBQ all year round, even in the winter, but I haven’t tried that yet. too cold to be standing outside for long.
That’s a really lovely house that Odd’s parents live in, so very Scandinavian! And what a great view.
That’s so true that the fresh air somewhat enhances the flavour and aroma! I did try barbecuing in winter but it was the time when we had a ski trip.
What a marvelous post! Just happiness and beauty! I really love the red North houses!
Thanks for sharing so much! Life looks so quiet and nice in Norway!
wow!! grattis!!:D
I am in Philippines with my Swedish friends..yehey!!

I dont miss Sweden at all!! ahahaha! I miss the summer though…hehehe..

Hey Chase, lovely pictures! I love Odd’s parents house. It’s beautiful and unique! And those grass, so green. Mine’s dead because Texas heat is brutal!
I like your pictures..so keep posting them when you can’t think of anything to write.
I’ll be posting more visual diaries to compensate my lack of words lately.
Lil Brother, You look so happy. The people there seem so accepting of your life style. Here it is very different. A young man not far from me was beaten to death and shot because they thought he might be gay.
People who live in the North know how to enjoy the brief summer, don’t you think? Hugs ed
Thank you big bro. It’s so sad what our gay brethren had to go through in your place but things will soon pass and I hope there will be change for the better just like here.
Oh yes, we certainly have to enjoy summer while it lasts!
Looks like you had a graet summer vacation!
bonggacious!! love the food the house and boat!
hugs and kisses to you and Odd!
Hahahha thanks dear. Hugs and kisses to you and Tomi as well. TC!

What a lovely house! I also love the view. Beautiful scenery. Beautiful people.
@ Fendi: You need not miss the Swedish summer. The summer season started well but gradually it got worse and we have had a lot of rain. It hasn’t stopped yet. Heaven is crying.
Must have been cool spending a week there before getting married.
I can understand you being a bit off colour, getting married is a big step.
Looks so fun and all the food is making me hungry too!
Hi Charles. Thanks so much for visiting and leaving a comment. Congratulations on your marriage and I hope you and Odd are very happy together.
I love the photos of your in-laws’ place, it looks beautiful. I hope you come and visit again. Bye from Australia.
