...HERE!

Home Sweet Home03.06.09

I am back home in Norway! First, I am giving Odd a big hug and a kiss then I am going to savour and indulge stuff that I miss and of course people to visit. The whole ordeal being back in the third world left me scarred. Even though it was just around a year and a half it felt like I was trapped in a dump or if I put it bluntly, hell for all eternity. It’s not that I don’t like being there but the place constantly reminds me of some painful memories. I don’t need to elaborate on that but I am glad that facing my past gave me sort of a closure and of course making me stronger than ever. It also made me realise where I truly belong and of course who my real family and friends are. Which calls that I was really born in a wrong country. Hahahahahah!

Kidding aside, I just want to thank Acey, Sarah, Menchie, Milleth, my nanny Amy; the people (Vanessa, Kristie, June and Omar) at the Parklane International Hotel where I trained on their gym; my stylist, Bebot of Bench Fix Ayala and my skin care specialist, Nene of Ruiz Derma Ayala Cebu Branch. They are the ones who made my whole stay in the Philippines a bit tolerable. It wasn’t easy for me as I battled against depression and loneliness. No amount of money could help me with that. All I wanted was to come back home and finally I am awake from this long nightmare. Now, I can live my life happily ever after again like Sleeping Beauty with her Prince Charming in the Kingdom of Norway.

Yes, I know I’m such a queen.

That’s all.

P.S.

Regular blogging program resumes on my next post! Yes, that means more recipes to come!

Great to have you broadcasting back from home!
Ah, you live in Bergen, that is on the coast, some 600 kilometres from the ferry to Denmark at the bottom of Norway.
A lot of boats leave Bergen for cruises in the fjords.
I know all this because my wife contemplated a holiday in Norway, so I looked some stuff up.
I was really enthousiastic, but then she decided that we would wait another year until we have our new car, I should get it somewhere in September.
Haven’t found a new holiday destination yet.
I’ll look forward to your recipes.

I can just imagine – but that’s far from reality.

    I have one word:
    Hurray
    then.

    Have a wonderful weekend
and thanks for all your inspiring comments

I can so relate to the feeling of been born in the wrong country. I feel the same way about Switzerland but since it is much harder for me to make it back there, I stayed instead in Canada which I had never been to even upon making my decision to stay. Congrats to you and Odd! And I enjoyed the photos of your visit to Oslo. It’s such a beautiful place. And lastly, glad to hear you are back where you belong, happy and living life! :-)
