We’ve moved around quite a bit so Christmas/New Year’s Eve was always different depending on where we were. Here in Seattle, we usually go to my aunt’s house for dinner on Christmas eve, we go to the 10:00 PM mass and we open gifts at midnight. We hide some gifts for the kids and let them open them on Christmas day from “Santa”
Christmas day is spent at my cousin’s house or my house and we just eat, talk, play songs on the piano, play games (Pictionary or Catchphrase) and watch DVDs to pass the time.

Well, my dear Charles, A VERY VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, too….My Christmas Post will be up a bit later this morning…So I hope you will come on over to take a look!
Well, let’s see….for Christmas, the tradition is that I spend Christmas with my dear friend Betty Garrett and her Family, at her house….We have been doing that for almost 40 years…..And then my New Years tradition is that I have a small New Years Dinner Party and we play the White Elephant Game….it is Betty and her whole family and some other people (16) all together–if everyone is “well”. If they are sick, they don’t come–My Health is at too uch risk if someone comes and has a cold, or worse…..We are all like “family” so it is fun and festive and Great Food!

I don’t really have a Christmas tradition, I’m afraid.
I tend to improvise.
I’m looking forward to Old Year’s Eve and the New Year.
My eldest boy’s girlfriend will be visiting then. Always exciting to have some new people about.
I would like to try and tempt my wife to celebrate Old Year’s Eve away from home, far away from home, but in our own country. Got an invitation from a friend, but I’m afraid it is not going to happen. She won’t like leaving the kids alone, I understand that.
